No matter which neighbourhood you start your day in, you can run in to bizarre gallery shows, weird pop up shops, nude body painters & spontaneous street musicals you can become a part of. That is some of the stuff, that make New York unique and different from other big cities.

One of the musts on your bucket list has to be Brooklyn bridge. Take some time to both cross the impressive bridge and to check out Brooklyn, where you can find charming hoods, unique shops, underground bars, delicious restaurants & burlesque shows. 

Take a selfie on Times Square before going shopping on 5th Avenue. Take a break in Central Park, and then continue to the charming Little Italy and later to the small shops of Mulberry Street.
After a drink in Manhattan’s countless bars, you can go catch one of the new musicals on Broadway.
If you are still hungry for more of Manhattan, head over to the cool rooftop bars or clubs in the Meat Packing District or in trendy Soho. But do a little research on the subject, because it can feel like there are as many go out places on Manhattan as there are yellow cabs.

West Village feels like a small lush town of its own. It's filled with vintage stores, trendy bars, drag shows & restaurants surrounded with big trees, short buildings & cobblestoned streets.
Are you more in to a bohemian version of West Village, you should be hanging out in Greenwich, where you find avantgarde artists and some incredible, musicals, theatres, comedy clubs and design stores.   

Don't forget to take a stroll down the High Line which is a 2,3 km long, lush route, placed above street level. The route is made on top of an abandoned railway and has good view points. Take a coffee break under one of the bridges on The Line and enjoy how beautifully new and old architecture have melted together.
